Since we started in 2008, we have been slowly building a business on the foundations of respect, reliability and service. From our service hub in West Footscray, we’ve grown slowly and steadily by focusing on understanding the needs of customers and adding value however we can.
We’re proud of the service we’ve built and the hundreds of long term customer relationships we enjoy today. We treat all customers equally, regardless of their dollar value. We listen, respect and respond as best we can. These are the values that guide us and why the vast majority of our foundation customers are still with us today.
Our Social Impact
We believe passionately in creating access and opportunities for people, to have a positive social impact in our community. To this aim:
- We are a proud financial supporter of Melbourne Period Project, providing menstruation packs and assistance to people experiencing homelessness.
- We provide employment opportunities to deaf people through our partnership with Expression Employment.
Our Sustainability Measures
There is so much we would like to do around sustainability in the future. For now we have a couple of small measures to reduce our environmental impact:
- We choose products which are least harmful to the environment. We have removed plastic from our sanitary & nappy waste processes with all of our bin liners being 100% biodegradable.
- We recycle from our factory and re-use consumables and materials as much as practicable.
When we recruit for new team members, we look for people who are honest, reliable, hard working with a positive attitude. We are very proud to provide employment opportunities for deaf people through our partnership with Expression Employment – a Melbourne Disability Employment service.
We believe everyone deserves access to basic hygiene products like tampons and pads. We are a proud financial supporter of Melbourne Period Project, who are caring for women, transmen and non-binary people experiencing homelessness by providing sanitary products, help and support.

Our service team staff have all completed National Criminal Record checks and have a valid Working With Children card.
Brett loves introducing new customers to Refresh Hygiene and making sure they’re happy. He is the driving force behind our social impact and sustainability initiatives.

Cleaning & Quality Control
Sara is the one who keeps us fresh. Sara holds the fort in our factory, washing and disinfecting all of the bins and overseeing quality control of goods and products before they head out.
