Since we started out as a sanitary bin provider in 2010, we have been steadily building a team of talented and committed people around 4 key principles: Respect, Reliability, Responsiveness and Results. From our service hubs in Dandenong & West Footscray, we travel all over Melbourne, making regular visits to hundreds of commercial facilities, businesses, NDIS homes and schools.

Our Sustainability Measures

We continually develop and improve our systems and our thinking so we can be a more sustainable business.

We choose products which are least harmful to the environment such as our recyclable Oxygen air scenting;
We try to eliminate plastic from our processes by using Biodegradable urinal mats and bin liners;
We recycle waste generated by our work and we re-use consumables and materials as much as possible.

After suffering through many companies who provided little or very poor service when it came to our washroom needs, we were thrilled to find Refresh hygiene. From the first phone call Brett was amazing at gaining an understanding of our business and coming up with a great service plan for our venue the Woolshed in Docklands. We have had Refresh Hygiene looking after our bathroom services and the facilities are fresher, cleaner and in great standard for our many clients who use our venue daily. Reducing Period Poverty

We believe that all people should have access to basic sanitary items and that ‘period poverty’ has no place in our community.

We are a proud financial supporter of The Period Project, providing support, menstruation products and essential living items to women, girls and LGBTI people experiencing homelessness and housing uncertainty. The packs come in different styles varieties and include extras such as disposable scented bags, wipes, gloves and hand sanitiser. The assembly gets done by volunteers and at-risk and long-term unemployed women.

Since 2019, Refresh Hygiene financial contributions have provided 2520 menstruation packs for people in need.

‘In 2019 we collaborated with 50+ partners to distribute more than 10,000 Period Packs, providing dignity and relieving pain and anxiety that women experience when they’re sleeping rough and their period arrives.’ – The Period Project
