What can be placed in our sanitary bins?
Our bins are suitable for all types of sanitary waste items and products such as tampons, pads, napkins, pantyliners and packaging.
How often should a sanitary bin be emptied?
This really depends on the number of people using your female bathrooms each day. The bulk of our office and small business clients find that one service visit each month is just right in terms of bins not overflowing or deteriorating cleanliness and presentation. Once we get to understand your requirements and your budget, we make recommendations and check-in once everything is operational to see if our bins and service schedule is working for you.
What stops bins from overflowing between services?
It starts with a consultation to understand your site and how many people use your facilities each day. We’ll recommend a service frequency based on similar sites we look after, and we’ll never push you into over-servicing just for our benefit. If things change, we can adjust. If you have an event or a busy month, we will provide one free out-of-sequence visit per year.
If any bins are filling up between visits, our service reps and office team will raise it with you, so you hear it from us before you hear it from your staff. Clean, well-presented bins reflect well on your business, and on ours too.
When we get this right, you’ll have zero overflowing bins, zero complaints, and no personal conversations with staff about period care.
What’s included in our sanitary bin service?
At Refresh Hygiene, your sanitary bin service is one set monthly fee that covers:
- rental of your sanitary bins;
- regular scheduled servicing (usually monthly), where we empty each bin and clean it with hospital-grade disinfectant;
- pyrethrum granules inside each bin to deter insects;
- safe, discreet removal and disposal of all waste offsite;
- one free urgent call-out per year if something needs attention between visits.
All our service representatives hold a police check and a Working with Children Check. Refresh Hygiene carries $20 million public liability insurance and WorkSafe insurance, is a member of the Facilities Management Association of Australia (FMA), and is certified with Rapid Global and cm3.
